    Hi,

Thank you for writing such a useful plugin, and for putting in your time helping the people who use it.

My problem is that I when I attempt to add a Youtube video to my client’s production site, the area of the screen in which the UI appears goes blank, and the video is not added.

On my own development site, it works fine. I’m using WordPress 3.4 on my dev site. The Firebug Java Console shows nothing when I click the button — and I mean nothing. On my dev site I get two minor warnings about deprecated attributes.

Googling the problem indicated it might be the json extensions, but the PHP configuration has them. I suspect this might have something to do with JQuery conflicts, but I don’t know.

First, I know it’s a valid Youtube ID. See the screen image:

    Valid ID

Here is the screen just before I click:

    Before Screen.

Here is the screen after I click:

    After Screen.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

  • Same problem here, we have no time to debug now, but in case nobody fix it we’ll do it and post here the solution.

I think i posted in the wrong place yesterday….I am having the same issue as described above….correct ID but not working.

I am also running JQuery too….having a fella look into this for me but not too hopful.

Some developer comments/work arounds would be nice or a nudge to the fix if featured elsewhere…

    Thanks in advance.

@bustedgiz. It’s a hodgepodge solution. I used a plugin called “Add Youtube Video to Media Library” and then modified it to use prerooll and postroll vidoes, and coded custom output using the Youtube API to create HTML5-only iframes. I’ve been thinking of collecting everything I did as a plugin, but it would take a day or so, and I’m kind of busy right now. If anyone has a specific question I’d be happy to answer. I really learned that ‘Add Youtube’ code inside out. –Marshall

@mlmoseley….sounds hazerdous. If you make a plugin, I would love to test it out for you!!

Yes, the blank white screen is what I am also getting when attempting to add a Youtube video.
