    Hi Praveen,
I am finding that when I attempt to use ‘Delete’ or ‘Upload Preview Image’ from the Manage Gallery section I consistently have a blank transparent overlay shown and nothing further happens.

I really like the look of your plugin and would like to use it but without particularly the delete feature operational it is impractical for me to use it.

I am using version 1.6 with a simple gallery of two videos. My server does not have FFMPEG installed on it, if that is relevant. Apologies if this post is innappropriate here. I did search for other posts regarding this issue and found a number of posts in the plugin & hacks category from people asking for help but none carrying any solutions or answers, so figured maybe the support area was the right place to raise this.

Looking forward to hearing any help available.
    Cheers.

  • Hi,
I am having the exact same problem. I have tried the fixes above, but it is still not working for me. In firefox, it just freezes with a black transparent screen. In IE, it shows a gray box with bars scrolling, but never loads.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Imaginette

Great plugin, almost perfect. The preview does not display well … please do something.
    Server where the problem arises:

    S.O. Debian 6.0.4
    php 5
    register globals off
    allow url fopen on
    curl on
    sqlite off

We give all the details: in this way we will understand why.

    Thanks to all

I’m having the same problem deleting things, thickbox fires and I get the progress bar animation on a gray transparent background and nothing else happens. I’ve tried deleting videos manually off the server and that doesn’t work. I have tried editing out the XML file in the gallery and that doesn’t work. Does anyone have a workaround?? Thanks for any help you can lend.

    I solved it manually:

    – Enter the video
    – EXAMPLE: Gallery name: VIDEO. Video name: HOME
    – Enter in ftp to your site here: wp-content/uploads/video-gallery/VIDEO/thumbs (changes depending on the name of your gallery and video)
    – Put them in a file .png named “thumbs_name-video.png” for the big photo
    – Put png. file named “thumbs_name-video_preview.png” to small photo
    – My Example: “thumbs_home.png” + “thumbs_home_preview.png “
    – Perfetto!
    – Made a few minutes, I added 20 photos videos, see the result if it satisfies:

Hello, excuse my English, but being Italian.

Maestroryuken, thanks for helping me on this. But I’m not exactly sure what you’re saying. I can get into my server via FTP without a problem. I see the different gallery folders and the “thumbs” folder in each. But I’m not using big photos and small photos. I’m using videos. I only have one thumbnail for each video. I deleted the video and it’s thumbnail but that does not remove it from the gallery in the dashboard of WordPress.

Also, I looked at your site and I don’t see a gallery of videos, are you sure we’re discussing the same plug-in?

My solution was to create video preview. In practice I have found that the new version of the plugin files reverses.

    “thumbs_xxxxx_preview.png” the file becomes smaller
    “thumbs_xxxxx.png” the file becomes larger.

Invert once, even renaming all my works.

For example, I used it here:

    https://www.listube.it/fatti-di-cronaca/

    will achieve this true?

or you just want to delete a gallery and you do not succeed?

Maestroyuken…thanks for trying to help me, but I’m not understanding. What I want to do is delete an entire gallery. Is there a way of doing this manually? Removing the gallery folder from the server does not remove it from the plug-in’s administration page.

I’m sorry I could not help yourself.
I found that installing directly to version 1.6 everything works perfectly. (delete galleries and everything else) but if I upgrade from 1.5 does not cancel out the galleries.
At this point there must be something in the update to be deleted. try them with other versions of wp.
I repeat: the problem does not occur in a clean install, by directly inserting the 1.6

Thanks for the tips. I’m going to try to disable other plug-ins and see if that clears up the problem. I started with ver. 1.6 originally, I never did an update, so it must be a conflict. Thanks again for trying.
    All the best.

I am having same issue. When trying to delete a video, get an overlay screen with progress bar only and nothing else that keeps going and going. Was there a fix to this? thanks for any info.

Laura, I was never able to solve the problem, BUT I did find a work around. The issue seems to be with the theme I am using, it creates a conflict with the javascript or something. So what I do when I need to edit my vid gallery is to temporarily switch to a different theme, something generic like TwentyEleven or something. Then make your changes to the cool vid galleries and then switch back to your real theme. Not a perfect solution because your website is going to look different for a few minutes while you’re doing this, but it’s the only solution I could find. Hope this help. Good luck.

Basically just switching the default pop up thing from thickbox to fancybox fixed it for me. Of course it takes a little bit of work changing some of the markup and adding the necessary scripting but it was worth it to salvage using the plugin.

Thanks for your quick replies. I am unfortunately not technical enough to switch to fancybox. Dave9621, I tried switching to 2 basic themes – TwentyEleven and Bones (and even took out some of the JS in the themes) but this still did not resolve the issue. Any other suggested fixes would be appreciated!

hmmmm…the only other thing I can think of trying is to switch to TwentyEleven and then one by one disable any installed plugins you have, and try again. There is probably a plugin that is causing a conflict. If you do them one at a time you’ll know which is the troublemaker. If this doesn’t work I would try logging in with another browser, I use Firefox. I’ve read somewhere that clearing the browser’s cached can clear up conflicts too, but I’m not 100% certain of that, worth a try.

    @laura Schoppa

Currently the plugin uses javascript file from the WordPress installation. There are no external scripts in admin section for CVG.

As suggested by dave9621, it could be a conflicting issue with some other plugin.
