    Hi,

    That would not be possible with the current release. I will surely look into this issue during the next upgrade.

    An option is to manually override the upload limit using ini_set('max_upload_filesize', your value); which you can add to your application code.

    Hi Praveen,

    Your plugin is really cool.
    I really would need to put my video size limit up.
    Exactly in what file do i put the code:

    >> An option is to manually override the upload limit using
    >> ini_set(‘max_upload_filesize’, your value); which you can add to your >> application code.

    thanks so much

    Hi pierter,

    Thanks for your remark ??

    I’ve just updated my plugin. Now you can add videos into gallery folders using FTP and use option scan gallery folder in gallery details to add the video to that gallery.

    If you like the my plugin please give your valuable ratings for the same.

    Thanks

    New version of plugin is released with more features. Check it out ??

    Dear Praveen Rajan,
    sorry, after automatic updating to the new release the name of the gallery but not the contents are displayed.
    I’m able to upload (and the files are inside of the right folder) but the plugin does not find them.
    The problem with the plugin from the begin on was, that I had renamend the folder (wp-content) when I did setup WP (german version and because of security).
    The plugin installed itself in this new standard-folder but at the same time it created a folder wp-content for the uploads, too. With the former version 1.2 it was no problem to take and use this wp-content/uploads as my gallery folder. It could have been fine to change folders in the menu, for not to get double folders anywhwere but I didn’t found a way to do that.
    I reinstalled the former version of your nice plugin and everything was in the manner like before and working again. So I’m afraid something went wrong with the new version.

    Hi DUE,

    Yes i see the issue. There is some issue while upgrading the plugin. I will fix it shortly. In the meantime you can fix it,

    Please try this SQL:

    ALTER TABLE wp_cvg_videos ADD sortorder BIGINT( 20 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT ‘0’ AFTER description ;

    Thanks
    Praveen

    Thank you, Praveen,
    the new version 1.2 works now with your SQL-item. I’m able to upload videos and the Cool Gallery finds them inside the wrong (for users not eligible) standard-folder now.
    So all seems to be O.K., but: In updating, the folder of the former version were erased, what a petty. And: The preview – pictures are not generated now. Manual uploading of the stills has no effect, too. The pictures are not found in any folder after uploading with Cool Gallery. So I generated png’s into the right resolution, renamend them with exact the same filename like the clips, added a leading “thumbs_”, uploaded them with ftp into the standard-folder and then everything was allright. The text in the picture-upload- window promises editing of the pictures: After a click only uploading is possible. A little bit complicated, but I’m able to use it.
    Greetings, DUE

    Hi all,

    Please find the latest update of Cool Video Gallery. I hope the thumbnail generation issue is solved in this release.

    Thanks,
    Praveen

    I have a problem with viewing the videos in Internet explorer. I have the audio but there is no video. I have tested on different computers and it works on windows xp internet explorer but it doesn’t work on windows 7. Any solution?

    I have to mention that it works perfectly fine in firefox.

    @ibsng:
    I didn’t had a problem with any browser in this respect. Maybe you should make an update of Adobe’s Flash Plugin for the IE.

    Here, we were about to discuss problems were the files go. Unfortunately this cool plugin does not offer the ability to change folders by the users, or it does not search and find folders in installations of WordPress others than english.
    Another problem are the preview-pictures. The documentation says, you have to install ffmpeg in your server for automatic generation, but they are generated in the lib-folder with or without server’s help, and – not found. To install ffmpeg on the server is a smaller problem but how to link the codecs with this plugin? In Version 1.2 I was able to see the manually installed previews only when I was logged-in. So, for the first, I gave up. Maybe later I will have a look at this plugin again.

    @duesenhuber

    First of all I admit that the option is unavailable for users to manage the file upload path in a single WordPress site (not multisite). I will see to it.

    About FFMPEG, this is not a compulsory part. If ffmpeg is installed the status is shown as FFMPEG Installed in plugin overview page. The thumbs are created automatically and there is nothing to be configured with the plugin. If not, then manual upload is available.

    The thumbnails generated in lib folder you mentioned is temporary files created with timthumb script. This feature is removed in ver 1.3.

    Thanks,
    Praveen
