Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error

  • Just tried to activate the plugin and it can up with a fatal error. Came up with the following error.

    Warning: require_once(/www/sites/buyplumbing/test/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wptouch/core/class-array-iterator.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/sites/buyplumbing/test/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wptouch.3.5.3/core/globals.php on line 12 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/www/sites/buyplumbing/test/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wptouch/core/class-array-iterator.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php’) in /www/sites/buyplumbing/test/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wptouch.3.5.3/core/globals.php on line 12

    Any ideas.

  • I saw your line 12 error and tried something. I took out the ‘ on either side of WP Touch in the PHP install file and it activated.

    It makes no sense to me, because that whole line is not to be read by the parser…but that did the trick.
