When the plugin is activated, it crashes our start page (Home). All other pages and articles work fine. Since we use the shortcodes from this plugin very often, help would be really super so we can fix the problem.

    Hi,

Do you have any shortcode inserted on the homepage?

Can you please try removing the shortcode and see if it helps?

Can you also enable wp-debug to true and share the wo-content/debug.log when the crash is hit?

    Hey, thanks for your answer.

The start page loads directly with a 502 error. The funny thing is, on the start page a shortcode from the shortcoder plugin is not built in.

In articles, category pages, normal pages are shortcodes inside, and here there are no problems.

However, the problem on the start page disappears directly when the shortcoder plugin is disabled in plugins section.

The Support from the theme also try to help, but can not explain it so far.

    Hi @januschm,

Can you please enable wp_debug to true and share the debug.log as mentioned previously?

    Hey @vaakash ,

thanks for your reply & also the mail. The Theme support was able to solve it at night, just saw their reply that they solved it. An article was probably created in WP defective or there has been an error in the article. Since this was loaded as a preview on the start page, the problem occurred, that’s why all category pages continued to work, because it was not included there as a preview. So the problem is solved. Thanks for your great support.

@vaakash I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
