    Hi @dmwc,

Can you please go to All in One SEO > Search Appearance > Advanced and check if you’ve enabled the Crawl Cleanup feature and if the Remove Query Args toggle is set to Yes?

We have also covered this in our documentation along with a video here –
    https://aioseo.com/docs/crawl-cleanup-best-practices/

If that toggle is set to Yes, can you please disable it and let me know if that fixes the issue?

Yes that actually works, but it’s still a little weird that that happens because we never altered any setting in the plugin and such a basic function like sorting should not be disturbed by a plugin, right? Thanks anyways for your help!

    Hi @dmwc,

The “Crawl Cleanup” feature is disabled by default and AIOSEO will not remove any query arguments unless you’ve manually enabled that feature.

We also display a warning under the “Remove Query Args” toggle. This feature is only designed for advanced users who understand the possible ramifications these changes can make.

We have mentioned this in our same documentation as well –
    https://aioseo.com/docs/crawl-cleanup-best-practices/

I’ve raised an internal feature request to include the “orderby” query arg by default.
