    the plugin is installed and connected to stripe and works well.
    but: i know, i can’t enter the api keys from stripe manually in live mode on the plugin settings (by the way i don’t know why, other plugins do that).

    so i clicked the connect button, redirected to the connect/express site from stripe. where i could select my existing stripe account to link with (i’m the admin/owner of that account).

    netherless, the plugin created a new account on stripe, i can switch to on my dashboard. but i can’t delete that “empty” connect account.

    how/where can i do that?

    The plugin didn’t create this empty account. That sounds like an issue on the Stripe side. I will let them know because this wasn’t the case even a few days ago.

    On the upper right hand side, click the profile icon then scroll down to the bottom of the page where you should the account along with three dots. Click the dots and there will be a leave account option.

    thanks for your very fasr reply! yes i know that option on stripe dashboard. but leave account is disabled…

    @kayahnung Then you will need to contact Stripe support and ask them how to remove it. I would also mention this issue of the empty account.

    Have the same ussie, can not choose an existing stripe account and it creates a new account every time, don’t have any idea why I’m just can not add live_tokens the same way as test ones, this type of auth just create extra bugs and not work properly.

    If you are not the account owner, then you cannot connect the account. Stripe only allows the account owner to perform the connect process. Per previous replies in this thread, the creation of this empty account has been reported to Stripe. This is not caused by the plugin.

    There are several explanations in other support threads about why this is. We are a Stripe partner and part of that partnership requires that this plugin use the connect process for live mode.

    this is the answer from stripe support i received:

    “I understand your frustration, I double checked with my colleagues and the Express account was definitely created by WooCommerce so they’re the ones that have to delete the account for you through the API. I am not sure if it was the plug in or not that caused the creation of this account however I can definitely confirm that Woocommerce is the one that can delete the account.”

    so who is gonna delete that account now?

    Here is the response from Stripe:

    `After reviewing your issue, what this sounds like is a connected account that is already linked with a Platform, is unable to connect to a new Platform. Since July 2021, Stripe implemented a restriction whereby Standard connected accounts could only have a connection with 1 Platform at any given time. If a Standard account already has an existing connection with a Platform, Stripe will detect this and create a new account so they will be able to connect to their new desired Platform.

    Please let me know if this behavior seems to align with what these accounts have reported.`

    So, this is not being caused by the plugin. I have requested if there is a way to prevent this via some parameter.

    thanks mrclayton for your great support. maybe they are right, we tested some different plugins before. but how do delete that account, they didn’t mentioned?!
    that was my only question. it’s not a big problem but i would like to know.
