[Plugin: CSV 2 POST] Error during Setup after Pressing the "Activate" Button

Thank you for trying CSV 2 POST.

csv2post_createfolder() is used to create a folder named “wpcsvimportercontent” in the wp-content directory. So this is done on every installation.

Not sure why this error has only happened now. I’m considering a missing file or another error earlier too the one your showing, which stops a function file being loaded. So look out for that.

We are working on the plugin right now. New version will be released tonight with a key fix, it might even solve your problem.

Anymore information is very welcome Kai. If you can confirm that the problem goes away on the next version here, I can set this thread as resolved so that would be appreciated.

I try it on another installation of wordpress on a different server, but got the same error.

Too bad.

Is there a logfile or a chance to activate a debug log?

I tried to generate the “wpcsvimportercontent” by hand, but install stops at the same point. Function is missing.

The three lines

Installed option record called csv2post_adminset
Installed option record called csv2post_publicset
Installed option record called csv2post_tabmenu

are labeled in green, so I think theres no error at this point.

I tried to installed an older version, but it′s still the same error.

Strange behaviour. My WordPress installation runs without any error, so I think my hoster supports all needed features – or is there a special feature or php setting needed (like register globals or something else)?

These was a missing function. We don’t understand why it never came up before now.

There is a function called csv2post_form_createfolder(), which does the same thing so we will use that. I will release a new version tonight.

I uninstall the old version and installed the new version.

The new version has not the Install menue again so it seems the old install was almost finished.

But if I try to import csv file a dir was missing. I made this dir and now everything works fine.

If I understand things correctly.

The “wpcsvimportercontent” folder will be missing because the installation was done with the faulty plugin. Everything else will have been installed, data wise.

So yes when the new plugin files were put into action all that would be left is that folder. It should be created on un-install then re-install.

I enjoy the plugin very much.

Feels a bit like Beta-Testing, but that′s ok. No other plugin has this rich set of functions.

Great glad we have another positive user, exactly what we need.

It feels like a beta for us also which is a shame. It’s my fault, I spent longer perfecting our approach than I meant to and we are about 1 month behind right now.

I just uploaded another version with key fixes, another step closer to shaking that beta feeling off.
