[Plugin: Custom Field Template] Custom Field template blocking update of page

  • Not sure what is happening under the hood, but I think this is a bug?

    I created two custom field templates. Each one is limited to a different WP page template. Before all this I had already created a lot of custom fields using the standard WP interface.

    When I edit a page which has the first custom field template (and first WP page template), it’s all OK. The fields all show in the custom field template section. I can edit the main content of page (the standard WP page content) and press Update and it will update fine.

    When I edit a page which has the second custom field template (and second WP page template), then the custom field template doesn’t show the fields (it says ‘Load, Initialize, Save). If I edit the main content of page, and press Update, then it updates fine. However, if I press Load in the custom fields template section (it loads)… from then on I can’t edit the main content and Update. When I press Update it just redirects the page to wp-admin/edit.php without saving the main content. If I had Saved the custom field data, then I would not be able to Update the main content again.

    (Interestingly, it DOES autosave the page if I wait long enough.)
