After installing v 1.4.4 The default post editor in WP will disappear if I click back and forth from Visual to HTML. Also default WP Visual editor does not work.

This only happens on “edit posts” not on “edit pages.” I am only using this plugin for pages.

Deactiviating custom field template restores WP functionality, but then I lose use of this awesome plugin.

    Any help appreciated.

  • Hi daseme,
Which browser are you using? Is it same with IE or Firefox? Could you try to deactivate all plugins except the custom field template plugin? I know the Javascript error happens in the HTML mode if you set tinyMCE = true in the textarea type. However it seems not to be same. Hmmm….

Hi Hiroaki, Thank you for the reply.

I was not able to run through the plugin test until just now. Deactivating all plugins except custom-field-template DOES make a difference. The Visual editor than works. After I activate CFORMS when custom-field-template is also activated the problem returns.

The problem occurs in FF 3.5.3, IE7, and IE8.

Also CFORMS plus custom-field-template worked fine together when I was using the prior version of custom-field-template.

I also tested by removing tinyMCE = true, from my custom-field-template settings and the same thing happened.

    Hi daseme,
I fixed the conflict bug with the cforms plugin in the latest version 1.4.5. Please try it out.
