[Plugin: Custom Field Template] How do I use this?

  • I can not find any thorough tutorials or explanations on how to use the Custom Field Template plugin.

    The primary question I have is about the templates. CFT appears to have two areas called, “Temple #0” and “Template #1”. I understand that I can assign these templates to Page IDs, post types, etc. However I need more templates. Can I make more templates within this tool so that I can apply them to different IDs and post types?

    It seems that there is a huge need for some kind of tutorial. A video tutorial would be great. It wouldn’t take a long time to demonstrate the usage, which is highly appreciated.

    There is a code list here on this page but no explanation regarding the most of those complex codes.

    I really hope that the author considers this issue and makes it a little easier for people to be able to use this great plugin.

    I just uninstalled it. What a waste.

    Each template represents a set of fields. If you for example choose to define a short set of fields for just file attachments and a second one for other stuff such as addresses, etc., You’ll have a select button in the bottom of your post in admin there you can select which form set to choose. I think you can apply to different ID’s and also roles.

    You can also set an access user level in each field by using level = 1 to allow some users to have access to some fields in any of the templates.
