• Apologies if this isn’t the right place for a bug report – I just tried uploading a PDF using a file field defined with the custom field template plugin, and I found that while the file uploaded and a custom field was defined in the DB, the form showed an empty field, and did not include the file icon and delete checkbox.

This was using Custom Filed Template 1.8.6.

Reverting to version 1.8.3 seems to have fixed this issue for me, but it seems this may be a bug.

  • Same for me – when uploading an image it appears below with the option to delete – however when I upload a PDF or Word file then it looks like nothing has happened after the post has been saved. (Using it on a custom post type).

Ditto! Exact same situation happening for me on custom post types. Anybody have any thoughts on how to fix this? My clients are confused as to why all of the files they have uploaded seem to have disappeared. Any help greatly appreciated.

Would really appreciated a comment/workaround for this?

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Hey Steve,

Reverting to the older version, 1.8.3 fixed the issue for me. Have you tried that?

    M

Just done that now and it worked, thanks for the advice. I guess 1.8.3 features everything i need to but would prefer being at the latest version!

I found the cause of this and talked to the author. Think that this is resolved in the new 1.8.7 version.
