• Hello. I managed to install littleutils even through I don’t know my way around linux. yay!

But while .jpg and .gif compression is working, something is wrong with the png stuff. I am not 100% sure I have all the dependencies for littleutils set up correctly so i am asking my admin about this.

But I saw in another support thread, you suggested troubleshooting by add $result in line 244.

I have done so, and for every .png I try to crunch, it gives me this error: opt-png error: /home/dixiblog/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/14/files/2011/01/foolsj-back22.png is a bad png file: pngcrush rc = 139

Any idea as to where I might look to fix it? I’d love to get this up and running completely. Thank you!

  • Hi, I don’t have any error message, but all images say “no savings”. I test them in Shushit.com and they had some kb to compress. So there is something wrong. Any idea?

My host re-installed pngcrush for me (Linux install noob here) and it’s working now! So I’m marking this as resolved.

Thanks! I’m excited to get using the plugin.
