• Hello

This plugin is brilliant, I stumbled upon it by accident whilst looking for something else but I’m really glad I did!

One thing I would love to see is maybe an option to use either a small, medium or large set of icons [this is particularly useful if you are just displaying the icons with no text like I am] or the ability to upload your own?

    Thank you =)

Is this not a possibility then?

    Hi pinkgarden,

Thanks for the kind words on the plugin. I’ve been in contact with the folks at DandyID, and unfortunately, they are not able to provide other sizes of the favicons at this time.

They do see this as a useful feature, and they may offer small/med/large sizes at a future time.

    Thanks, Neil

    Thank you for replying Neil.

    Neil,

Thanks for your efforts on the plugin. Well done!

I’d also like to have bigger icons. Perhaps it’s a bandwidth issue? Could an option be added to pull the icons locally instead off DandyID’s servers?

As an aside, I’m styling the widget and had to remove the version number of the plugin to get it to work. I think the css didn’t like the periods.

    Cheers!

    Jon

    Hi Jon,

Thanks for the kind words — I hope you’re finding the plugin helpful.

I’ve spoken about the icons with DandyID (I’m a 3rd party developer), and, unfortunately, they are unable to provide larger icons at this time.

Please send a link to your styled-widget. I’d love to see it! That’s awesome.

And thanks for feedback on the version number div. I’ll fix that.

    Best, Neil

I LOVE this widget… but it would be really nice if the icons were fully transparent (for those of us with black backgrounds).

The icons are all designed for a white site layout and the corners of “transparent” icons are white, so it looks really bad on blogs that have dark backgrounds.

    Hi Ashe,

The icons are not part of the plugin. They are maintained by DandyID. I’m not sure if they will able to change them or not. You might want to check with them just to see.

    Thanks, Neil
