    first of all – this is a WONDERFUL plug-in!!! I have longing for such a plug-in for quite a while, and just found it.

    I am running into a problem when doing the following:
    – create a Site Note
    – set to show in Edit Post and in New Post (because it tells a backend user how to create or edit content there)
    – Publish the Site Note

    Effect:
    – shows up in Edit Post
    – DOES NOT show up in New Post

    Remarks:
    – also DOES NOT show up when I check “All” for ‘post’
    – but it does show up once I check “Everywhere” (but this is obviously not a solution…)

    It would be really cool if you could either tell me how to configrue this so it works on New Post, or provide a fix if it is a problem in the plug-in.

    Anyway – thanks for the brilliant concept and work!

    I’m not able to reproduce the problem you’re seeing, so unfortunately I’m not able to tell you how to fix it. There will be a new version very soon, however, so try updating once you see it and let me know if you still have the problem afterwards.

    Hi Firstly let me say that I completely agree. A wonderful [plugin that does exactly what I need it to (in theory)
    I have exactly the same problem as Olaf.
    I have written some instructions on “how to write a post” and have set it to dis[play in “Post Edit” and “Post New”
    But unfortunately it only shows when editing posts and I can’t get it to show when creating a new post.
    Hope someone can find a solution as this plugin would be a god-send!

    Yes, I am seeing the same thing.

    I am having the exact same issue. With the correction of this problem, this plugin will be very powerful and I’d use it for all of the sites I manage for clients. Keep us posted on the fix! Thanks.

    Hi Greatest Developer in the World Bar None,

    one of my guys has deveoped teh Dashboard Site Notes plug-in furher, fixing your bug, adding a bunch of features (much more fine grained control where a site note should show up or not and a few other things).

    We do not have the bandwidth to share and maintain the revised version. If you are interested, I can smply send our derivative version to you, and then you can decide whether you want to merge it with whatever you have been up to in the meantime or not, and continue to share it and maybe maintain it.

    My email address is olaf AT druemmer DOT com, so let me know if you want to pursue this. In terms of IP – you can do with the code whatever you want, it is even not required to mention me or my guy. Also, of course, there is no guarantee anything works as expected (though it does work for us).
