Some things (like % of traffic that is social referral) is reported by the plugin widget at of 0.6% vs 30% in google.com/analytics

After you select an interval, while comparing, make sure that the dates within the chart are the same.

If they aren’t, most probably the time of your server is not correct.

    Hi Alin

During no time interval is our social referral traffic realistically “0.6%”.

This is the sort of obvious discrepancy that has us scratching our heads.

    Any other ideas?

Server time is UTC but wordpress is adjusted for -06:00

Does the plugin use the time as-adjusted in WordPress?

Again – either way this wouldn’t explain some of level to which the incorrect reporting is occurring.

That’s because you’re looking at Top Channels report in Google Analytics while the plugin reports Top Mediums.

Switch the Primary Dimension in GA to Top Mediums and you’ll be amazed by their consistency ??

Ok – I see now the GA report for “Top Mediums” matches the numbers you have chosen to label “Traffic Sources” ??

    Why Mediums, anyway?

It gives better insights about campaigns.
