[Plugin: Dave's WordPress Live Search] Explanation on plugin\not working

    Hi!
    i’m trying to use Daves-wordpress Live Search on a WP 3.0.1 blog but i don’t understand how it works.

    I’ve installed the plugin, setting up for show just the product page for wp-e-commerce plugin but i cannot find how to\where perform the search.

    I’m using a Theme who’s got its own search widget (RokAjaxSearch) an i’m using the widget on every page except for the “e-commerce page”. On the e-commerce page i would like to use Daves WordPress Live Search to show the Product results and not everything.

    So, my questions are:
    – Which Search form should I use? [I’ve tryed both, WP integrated and RokAjaxSearch but failed to show my Product]
    – Why no result are shown?

    You should be using the search widget that comes with WordPress.

    Thanks for you reply.
    I tried to find something with the search box (wordpress search box).I still do not see the products but only the pages of the blog.

    Did you configure the plugin to “search products” in your blog’s admin interface?

    It’s getting a 500 Internal Server Error when it loads /sitonuovo/wp-content/plugins/daves-wordpress-live-search/daves-wordpress-live-search.js.php?ver=3.0.1

    Your web server’s error log should contain the specific error.

    Now “live search” works, but when I go to press enter the page displayed does not show the products, but other page.

    Yep. This plugin doesn’t change the WordPress search itself, only the search box. I don’t know if there are any plugins which change the main WordPress search to look at products instead of posts.
