    Hi,

Earlier today I logged in to find that Fluent SMTP plugin was automatically deleted. There was an admin notification on the Plugins.PHP page that the plugin has been deactivated due to an error – Plugin file does not exist.

There’s no malware scanner nor any other admin that might have caused such a thing.

I reinstalled Fluent SMTP and its working ok. Am unable to reproduce the issue.

Any known issues related to this or any hints why something like this might happen?

    Kind regards,

    Hello @backpackingseries,

Thank you for reporting the issue you encountered with the Fluent SMTP plugin. Understandably, this is a concerning situation.

After reviewing your description, it’s unlikely that a malware scanner or another administrator caused the plugin deletion. However, it’s possible that a server-side error may have been responsible.

To address this issue, you’ve already reinstalled Fluent SMTP, and it appears to be working correctly now. We recommend keeping your WordPress installation up to date and monitoring your server’s error logs for any related errors.

If you face the same problem again, please feel free to reach out to our support team directly. We’re here to assist you in any way we can.

Thank you for using Fluent SMTP.
