Plugin directory updated date

When using a stable trunk instead of creating tags, the updated date does not show correctly in the WordPress plugin directory. I *think* the updated date did initially show but then the date just went back to what it was previously.

I’ve tried getting the stable to point to a tag instead and the updated date did appear. I’ll have to wait for a day or two to check if the updated date ‘sticks’ this time.
