• As a new blogger who is just getting started with WordPress, I hired someone on Etsy to install a theme. They installed the Genesis eNews Extended Plugin and gave me instructions on how to link it to Mailchimp. In trying to set up the MailChimp connection, I mistakenly deleted the plugin when I copied the code into the Active box. I tried to reinstall it, but WordPress says there is already a file created and won’t allow me to.

The etsy installer can’t seem to figure it out and now I don’t know what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Howdy,

You probably need to log into your site via FTP (your hosting provider can help you on how to do that) and delete the wp-content/plugins/genesis-e news-extended folder. Then via wp-admin, you can go back to Plugins->Add New and reinstall the plugin.

Out of curiosity, can you send me the instructions you were given, leaving out any passwords or personal info like that.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much! Blue Host was able to walk me through how to delete the file and then I reinstalled the plug in.

These are the instructions I was given: https://www.eclairdesigns.com/mailchimp-with-genesis-enews-extended/

I’m confused because it says to copy the code into the Action Field, but I’m having trouble locating exactly where the action field is.

    In MailChimp:

you will need to find the html for the code for your form in the MailChimp admin. The code will be raw html and in that html you will find a form element <form action="" method="somethingelse">

There is an action tag there and inside the straight double quote marks, is the action itself you copy. There is a corresponding field in the widget instance where you paste this.
