[Plugin: DISQUS Comment System] disqus not compatible with wordpress 2.8?

Got the same problem as everyone else it seems. Can’t import comments do disqus with WP 2.8.4. I’ve emailed [email protected] my information.

Hoping this plugin will be updated/working properly soon.

I am having the same problem – I probably have a few hundred comments in the system, the first 20 or so imported and then nothing. I let it sit overnight and it didn’t get any further.

I will check and see if modifying the php.ini workis.

When I initiate an install of DISQUS Comments (FYI) for WordPress as per the instructions at https://disqus.com/comments/wordpress/workbench/ I get the following warning message:

Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.

The FYI also states that it’s Compatible up to: 2.7 (I’m running WordPress 2.8.4).

This doesn’t exactly inspire confidence! Some of the response here indicate that it (Version: 2.11.4349) is in fact compatible with WP 2.8.x, so why hasn’t it been tested and verified yet?

i am grossly fed up of this disqus after trying for almost a couple of hours to work with the latest wp & disqus plugin on my blog. I am deleting my account on disqus.

when i click “import” in the advanced menue the site is just loading for a few minutes and after that the disqus plugin page is blank.

I am on the verge of tears here – My comments stopped working, so I installed the new version of the plugin and it’s still not working. What am I doing wrong PLEASE help.
I have tried to test it by posting as a guest but I never get a notification by email and the comment never appears on the site.

I have the same problem with WordPress 2.9.2 and Disqus Comment System Plugin Version 2.33.8752. The import of my WordPress comments worked fine, but they don’t show up on my blog. Only if I disable the Disqus plugin. But the comments seem to be stored on my Disqus account.

I was planning to switch to Disqus on my blog, but I’m not so sure about it now, if all the old comments disappear.

Wow.. 10 months, and this does not get resolved?

Someone please find a solution already! I’m facing the same thing as MulletMidget! Click on Export and it says it’s completed.

No comments appear in Disqus editor NOR the blog itself.

I don’t really feel like typing in everyone’s comments manually, do you?

I found this topic when searching to see if my Disqus plugin was not working. We are using 2.9.2 WordPress MU. After installing the plugin according to instructions, exporting comments, all comments eventually showed up. I say ‘eventually’ because it took a long, long time for all the comments to appear in the Disqus moderation list.

Just wanted to share this.
