    Hi there,

    Which browser are you using?

This message is an indication that there is an issue with loading/executing the necessary JavaScript.

Can you open your browser’s developer tools (press F12) and switch to the “Console” tab to share what you’re seeing there?

There might be some messages showing here:

    Thank you, very helpful!

The errors are about jQuery, which the Web Stories plugin is not using. At the same time there were quite some jQudry-related changes in WordPress itself that might cause issues with other plugins. So my assumption is that another plugin is interfering here.

To verify my assumption, I recommend installing the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. It allows you to enter “Troubleshooting mode”, which allows you to temporarily use your site with only Web Stories active, and no other plugin.

Note: this does not affect other users or your site’s visitors. Troubleshooting will only be enabled for yourself.

So, could you install that plugin and try the Troubleshooting mode?

Alternatively, you can share your Site Health information privately using this form, which gives us a way to look for possible incompatibilities ourselves.

Yeah it worked, but then to check i need to enable one by one all the plugins and check which plugin is causing the issue, and then should i de-activate it?

is there any alternative way to keep both the plugins which is causing the trouble and this plugin (web stories)

    (@swissspidy)

It depends. If you can go through plugins one by one to find the one causing the trouble, we can try to assist you with a possible workaround. Of course ideally without having to deactivate it.

It Does not support the Theme – Reco

    Interesting!

Just to confirm, is it this one? https://themeforest.net/item/reco-minimal-theme-for-freebies/22300581

If so, we’ll try to take a look, but since it’s a commercial theme, it’s probably safest if you also report this to their support so that they are aware.

Yep, Thank you for your help Pascal ??

@buzztify In my own testing, I was able to install Web Stories plugin with Themeforest – Reco theme activated.

Could you please provide your Site Health information? You can share privately if you prefer.

We want to check if there is maybe a plugin interfering with the setup.

@buzztify Thank you, we’ve received your Site Health information.

You mentioned earlier, “It Does not support the Theme – Reco”, but I was unable to reproduce the issue with the Web Stories plugin installed and Themeforest – Reco theme activated.

We’ll keep looking into this, but in the meantime, can you confirm if:

    – you’re seeing the “Please wait…” error when trying to access the Web Stories dashboard or when you try to create a new story?

    – can you install the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and go through plugins one by one to find the one causing the trouble?

    (@buzztify)

@luckynasan I did check with Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and it was the theme which was causing the issue.

And Yes i am getting ‘Please Wait..” message and it does not loads further.
