Plugin does not work if other types are included in main loop

  • In FrontPageCats::bad_post_type() the code checks that the query contains posts and only posts. I opted to include events (using The Event Calendar plugin) in my main loop, and this plugin stopped working. When I edit bad_post_type() so that it checks that posts are included, but no longer rejects a query that contains additional post types, it works again. Is there a reason that the plugin is limited to affecting only one post type?

    Hi there – thanks for the message.

    The plugin was designed for post filtering. I hadn’t considered needing to filter other content types. I haven’t used the Event Calendar plugin but if you can tell me what you changed to make it work then I can look at making the change to the main plugin as well; or at least adding a filter so that you can change things without editing the plugin.
