• Hi all!

I’m trying the plugin in a WP site and it does work fine managing access to pages but not for files. This is the case:

    1) As admin,Upload a PDF file, then WP saves it on the wp-uploads directory. The route is something like that: https://192.168.43.26/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/PDF-4.pdf

    2) Accessing to the file in the Media section on the WP Editor, you can “restrict access” and set the groups who can access the file.

    3) Logged as an user out of the groups allowed to access the file, you can access directly to it by copy and paste the URL in the browser. So the file is not protected.

?Is there a solution to this issue?

    Thank you!!

  • I second this!

The ability to securely control access to downloadable files is key. Because all media is stored in a single folder, Contexture should provide the ability to mark individual files as protected, or create a protected sub-folder for secure files.

Using Delightful Downloads to implement all your downloads will solve the problem.
