• I just downloaded this plugin and it seemed to activate without troubles, but when I click “scan” all that happens is I see the little thinking wheel for a minute or two, and then it vanishes.

And that’s it. No progress bar, no results…am I missing something? Do I need to do something else to make this plugin work?

    Hi @diamondsinthelibrary,

The plugin requires the WordPress WP Cron system to be able to process your site in the background. If cron isn’t working, the plugin won’t work. You can install this plugin to look into it.

Same issue here. Downloaded plugin and activated, but when I click scan I only get the spinning wheel for a second or so and then nothing. I have wp-chrontrol installed and I don’t see any job running for this plugin. What is the chron job called? Is it scheduled for later? Am I missing a step?

I’m running WordPress 4.7.2 and using multisite.

Just to add a thought to this – might be helpful für some: I had the same issue until I recognized I was working on a WordPress installation in a password protected path (i.e. testing environment) – hence the internal call of wp-cron.php was blocked by the webserver. removes the password protection in the .htaccess and voila, the plugin was doing its job.

I too have the same problem. I have installed this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-crontrol/, How to configure this to work with PHP Compatibility Checker
