Plugin doesn't seem to spider alternate post sections
-
Hi:
I’ve been testing out approximately one billion sitemap generators for WordPress, and none seem to work exactly as I need them to. I need both a regular sitemap and one for Google News, so that’s why I’m anxious to get this plugin working.
Everything is configured fine and the plugin seems to operate fine without errors. However, sitemaps are barebones after they are created, despite having thousands of pieces of content. I believe this is because I don’t use the “Posts” section for our actual content, but rather two manually added ones (“News” and “Articles”), which the plugin picks up on fine.
Configuration: https://i.imgur.com/Q6msa7Q.png
https://techgage.com/?feed=sitemap (https://i.imgur.com/yFzTgou.png; the ONLY file there to work is the “sitemap-posttype-page.xml” which does in fact index the 6 entries in that category)
https://techgage.com/?feed=sitemap-news (https://i.imgur.com/CNxu5e1.png)https://techgage.com/sitemap.xml (https://i.imgur.com/vR1tCYy.png)
https://techgage.com/sitemap-news.xml (doesn’t get generated)I have let the site sit with this plugin for a while, and so far nothing has changed. I need to revert back to another plugin soon until I can sort this one out, hence the reason I am including screenshots.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Rob
