I’m located in Spain and the shortcode doesn’t show the content.

Unfortunately the source of the IP Geolocation data isn’t very reliable. We’ve considered adjusting this plugin to use a reliable source for IP Geo data, but that not only has a cost in terms of development, but also for the data itself. We’ve suggested in the past creating a paid version of this plugin to do just that when this issue has arisen, but we’ve been met with silence.

Thoughts? If there is no viable business case for such a thing, it’ll never be built.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply !

I think that it is NOT the problem caused by the source of the IP Geolocation data. It is because The ShortCode [CBC_COUNTRY /] can detect the country with no problem. But the following Shortcode always hide all content between [CBC …] and [/CBC] for all countries although I have tried all different settings.

    [CBC country=”cn” show=”n”]
    Content hide
    [/CBC]

Can you give any help ?
    Thanks !

    Best Regards. Cloud

    have you tried show="y" ?

It cannot work although I have upgraded to the newest version with show=”y”.
But it works after changing “y” or “n” to y or n without double quotation marks for all options.
    So please update your document.
