• My plugin Download Manager is not working with the new updated WP 3.2.1. I have deactivated Download Manager and re-activated it and I have also deleted it and installed it twice.

I’m using 2.0.19 ver of Download Manager. Anyone else having this problem, or got another plugin they can recommend ASAP?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

  • According to the plug-in info page it should be compatible with 3.2.1, and the voting record is good.

I would try deactivating all your plug-ins, and see if the problem is there. If the problem goes away, reactivate your plug-ins one by one to find which one is causing the conflict.

hello dreamynest, please explain little more about the issue you facing.

    Hi Shahnur –

I have a 77.7 MB zip file I’m trying to upload. It won’t work. When I go to the Add page, it lets me input all the information and when I click “Create Package” the page gets busy like it’s uploading and it takes forever, but then it stops – all my info on the page disappears. My new file doesn’t show up on my manage page.

Again, I’ve de-activated and re-activated DM many times now and I’ve also deleted it and reinstalled it several times. I’ve also checked for another plugin conflict.

    Thanks.

Many servers have a 2 MB upload limit with a PHP script such as the plug-in. You may or may not be able to override that limit, depending on your server configuration, and the method by which to do it depends on how PHP is running on your server – as an Apache module (via .htaccess) or as a CGI script (via php.ini).

Here’s how to do it either way:

In any case, with a file that huge (nearly 80 MB) I strongly recommend uploading it via FTP instead.

I know its too late to reply, and you may have solve the issue too but this may helps to next users so i am posting.

If you are any cache plugin remove all expire and current cache. I was having the same issue. I updated Download Manger and using WP Super Cache plugin and all my download links was seating into the expired cache and that was creating the issue. Only Admin was able to download none of else. It was sending back to home page when anyone was trying to download.

So try to remove all your cache and than try may be it will works same like mine. ??

    Gud luck
