I love the Dynamic Content Gallery but it was making me nuts. I am not a code-knowledgeable person and I found their documentation not thorough enough. However – success has been achieved!

If the black box does not appear – make sure your Front Page is not checked off for Static!

If the black box does appear, but no images show up – it could be a conflict with another plugin. My issue was Events Manager Extended. The developer there figured it out – here’s his answer:

Ok, I figured it out: the “dynamic content gallery” plugin uses mootools by default, which seems incompatible with the jquery of wordpress (which EME loads). The solution is simple: in the settings of the “dynamic content gallery” plugin, tab “Javascript options”, choose “jquery” as framework and not “mootools”, and everything will work again ??

Now my site (https://www.menopauseinmanhattan.com) is working great!

Glad you got it sorted. ??

Yes, javascript ibraries don’t always play nice together, hence the inclusion of a jQuery script in the DCG in case mootools clashes with another plugin.

All of this is explained in the extensive documentation and FAQs on my site.

DCG shows black box and a summary of the post.

Does not show the featured image nor my DCG Text nor DCG Image URL.

I’m about to throw DCG out.

Also, I’m using WP 3.1 and I don’t know if this is a compatibility issue.

    Also having this problem.
