• Hi there. This is a great pluggin, but I′m having a problem.
I want to use Easing Slider in the header of this site: https://www.audaxitaliano.cl/web2/ (I removed the php call to the pluggin from the header to prevent a heart attack to my client, hehehehe). It worked fine in some pages, but in the home page it causes a conflict with the WP Content Slideshow pluggin I′m using there. So, I know that′s the problem, but, how can I fix it? I really need to use both pluggins. Is there a way so they can live in peace with each other? By the way, that′s a modified TwentyTen theme.

Does the WP Content Slideshow plugin load jQuery? Check your homepage’s source to see if it’s being loaded twice. If so try to remove the call from the plugin. Let me know if this works.

Sorry, I forgot that detail. Yes WP Content Slideshow also loads JQuery. Removing the call makes easing slider work, but WP Content Slideshow stops working, and I need them both. I′m pretty sure that WP Content Slideshow is the cause of the problem, but those guys are german, the pluggin site is in german and the support forum… yes, that′s it, also in german. They used the old <script> syntax to include Jquery, instead of wp_enqeue_script. When I check the script console in firebug I get a lot of “$ is not a function” error, or something like that…

    thanks matt

Ok. Try removing the call for jQuery from the Easing Slider instead. Since the WP Content Slider loads it already the incorrect way there is no point in the Easing Slider loading it again the correct way. Just remove the call for it.

Your going to have to do this everytime you update the plugin. Been trying to add a feature to allow you to enable or disabled the Easing Slider’s option to load jQuery however it has been troublesome.

Matthew, love the slider – having the same issue here w/ multiple jQuery calls. Can you tell me how to remove the call for jQuery from the Easing Slider?

    I appreciate your help. ??

@jriley21; Literally just addressed this issue now. Added a feature to enable or disable the loading of jQuery from the Plugin Settings tab. Check it out ?? Hope this helps.

Matthew – Thanks for the reply. Is this feature only available in the premium version? Or is there an upgrade I’m missing on the Easing Silder? I don’t have any settings option (other than ‘edit’) for this plug-in.

    Hi Guys!
I love the slider too, Mathew 8)
Even though I made the slider not to load JQuery in the plugin′s usage settings is still causing me trouble (I am also using the Jquery drop down menu plugin).
The slider is simply not working as such and it shows all the images at once and no pagination icons, just the images on top of the other contents. The other plugin is working fine but is missing the >> details.
Do you know what I could to to try to fix it?

Hi Matthew, I have the Load jQuery option set to false but still just get the content slider just displaying the loading icon on my homepage. I use NextGEN plugin which I think uses jQuery but I want to keep NextGEN. Is there a way round this?

Hi does anyone know how to resolve the jQuery problem? I still can’t figure it out.

bump! Can the easing slider play nice with nextgen installed?

I haven’t tried it, but I’ve worked it out with a couple of themes, it looked PERFECT! My favorite slider ever.
I guess to work it out we just need to pick the right themes.
