I get this error “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/barcanews.dk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/easy-adsense-lite/easy-adsense-lite.php:626) in /var/www/barcanews.dk/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 934”

When trying to view my page typing in “www.barcanews.dk”. No problem when typing “barcanews.dk” ?! When i write a post in Windows LiveWriter the preview page function also loads up with that error.

I disabled the top ad now so you can’t see it for yourself. Tell me if you want to see it.

    Thanks!
    Christian

  • Yes, I would like to see the error. But let’s coordinate it so that you don’t have to have the error appearing all the time. Please send me an email in about 12 hours (about 7:00 PM Singapore time).

Sorry that i didn’t respond in time! I thought i got an email when you replied but never received one so just now went to check.
How about i send you a print screen of the error?

I jsut saw that there is no ads on my front page, but they are still there under my posts. How can that be?
    I never noticed that before.

I got the same error message, only it shows up when trying to share posts via Facebook, Twitter, etc. I’m using the latest version of WordPress, Jetpack, and the Magazine Premium theme.

    My url is https://www.secretlaboratory.org

I’m using Easy AdSense Pro. The first ad is 728×90 and is centered above the header. When I try a different position for this ad, the error message goes away … but the ads don’t work. “Above the Header” is the only position that works. “Beginning of Post” shows no ad while “Below Header” shows TWO ads ABOVE the header–and it makes the post’s content disappear.

The second ad doesn’t work at all, in any position or configuration.

The third ad is set up “End of Page,” which generates two ads in two separate places toward the bottom of the screen. Aligning left, center, right does nothing. If I choose a different position, only one ad will show, sometimes none.

I’ve been experimenting with this plugin for several days, and frankly it doesn’t work. I like all of the options and it’s laid out very professionally, but the fact remains that most of those options are broken. The one configuration that I found that “works” (generates three ads per post, although not in the positions that I’d like), generates the above-mentioned error message, effectively rendering the sharing buttons useless.

In the last few days, I’ve tried a dozen or more AdSense plugins. There is one that is simple and generates three ads per post exactly where you want them (1-Click-AdSense)–but you can’t suppress ads on specific posts and there doesn’t seem to be a way to contact the author. At the moment, I’m using Instant Adsense, which allows you to suppress ads, but it only generates ONE TEXT AD at the beginning of the post. Many other plugins that I tried did not work AT ALL.

The reason that I started looking into new plugins is that certain posts on my website don’t meet Google’s standards–apparently, a love/sex advice column is too racy for them.

If you have any suggestions on how to fix Easy AdSense Pro, I’d like to hear them. In the meantime, there is definitely a void when it comes to AdSense plugins that are simple, feature rich, and most importantly WORK.

Some of the placement options in Easy AdSense hacks that may not work in certain situations, as I tried to explain in the FAQ.

The only safe placement options are within the body of the post.
The new placement option for lead-in adsense block in the header doesn’t work the way I like. Can you fix it?

Short answer: No, I couldn’t figure out how to do it better.

Long answer: This option works by adding an action to a hook in WordPress. I could not find a hook that would get activated right after the <body> tag in the generated HTML, and right after the header image is placed (and before the sidebars are inserted). If you know the hook names, please let me know. Also, if your theme has “side” bars near the header and footer (north and south sidebars), there may be conflicts between add_action hooks resulting in unexpected behavior.

Note that the Below Header and End of Page options are hacks that may not be compatible with the WordPress default widget for Recent Posts or anything else that may use DB queries or loops. If you have problems with your sidebars and/or font sizes, please choose some other Position option.
