Hi, this plugin is only tested using WP’s default visual editor. Please don’t expect it to work right out of the box if you have installed something custom (specially with editors)

Also, please uncheck your vote that it is not working on the combination WordPress 3.3.1 and Easy Content Templates 1.0. It confuses other users and discourages them to download this plugin. It’s working in that combination IF you didn’t have an extra customization.

Note: Support for “other visual editors” should be considered a feature and not a requirement.

I’d like to formally request we get it to work with CKEditor ?? – I’ll create a clone site and get you access to the system.

Hi – so I stood up a clean wordpress site, CKEditor and your plugin and they all worked together just fine. I must have some other issue in my WP installation preventing your plugin from working.

    I’ll dig into this.

    Thanks!

I marked the post as working ??

weird, it happened to another guy too.. he was using TinyMCE advanced, and when he rebuilt the whole site, including all plugins it all worked fine. please let me know how it goes so i can incorporate it to the code and prevent problems for other users

Hi – it took me a few minutes to realize why this wasn’t working for me. I have my WP site installed at https://domainname.com/wp_install_dir, but I have a mod rewrite going to mask it to https://domainname.com/. ec-templates-metabox.php has: ‘url’: ‘<?php bloginfo(‘url’); ?>/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php’ ==> The <?php bloginfo(‘url’); ?> is pulling back the the location of admin-ajax.php as https://domainname.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, when it should really be https://domainname.com/wp_install_dir/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.

I hardcoded the right location of this file in ec-templates-metabox.php and all is good.

People having issues with this plug might want to see if this is their issue as well. If you have Google Chrome, just look at the JS debugger when you click the “Load Template” button.

I can’t get the plug in to work after updating. kidalpha–your notion seems to be what is at hand, but I’m not sure I know what to do about it. Japa–I tried finding your contact info but can’t find you. Anyone wanna help?

[email protected] – what version did you update to? and if i may ask, what can i do to replicate an exact system [different install folder than what bloginfo(‘url’) gives] so i can make an actual fix for it.. the first fix i did is based on kidalpha’s explanation and i kinda just guessed and anticipated the problem.
