    Hi There !
I spent quite some time about easy fancybox not working with my website… but just figured out that there’s an incompatibility with the security plugin “Better WP Security” (however nice).
Issue : when you click on the image, it appears completely at the bottom of your wordpress theme.
Solution : deactivate the security plugin and everything will work fine.

    Best wishes for 2012 ! ??

  • When the image appears at the bottom of the page instead of in a lightbox overlay, it is usually due to missing stylesheet.

So it would appear that Better WP Security blocks access to the dynamically created stylesheet.

    Thanks for reporting it ??

I have the same problem with “Better WP Security” plugin.

    Keep me posted!

I have the same problem… and i dont’t know how to fix it…
and i mean “fix” to make them work togeter.

i know it works when u deactivate Better WP Security

    Hi cristiantacchi,

I’m not familiar with the plugin Better WP Security but as far as I can tell it blocks direct access to .php type files (?) that are inside subdirectories of the /wp-content/plugins/ directory. If there is a way to make an exception to this behaviour or completely switch off that part of the plugins function in the Better Security settings, than it should be possible to make the two work together.

If not, there might be an alternative:

I can imagine the plugin allows access to .css type files, but I’m not sure. If so, I might be able to make an extra option in the Easy FancyBox settings to make it use the stylesheet directly instead of converting it via PHP (to get around an IE bug) beforehand… This would leave some of your site visitors (mainly with IE6 and IE7, latest statistics say less than 5%) without a properly functioning lightbox but for all other visitors your site will appear as normal…

    i have found a solution.

just deactivate “Display random version number to all non-administrative users” found in “System Tweaks” under “Other tweaks” and it should work

    Wow, brilliant…

So Better WP Security does not block access, but alters the version numbers? That would indeed break correct stylesheet processing in Easy FancyBox.

Thanks, cristiantacchi, for sharing your solution ??

    =)
