    From the 0.7 Changelog:
    Editorial Metadata terms can be ordered with AJAX. Terms can be made “viewable” and then will be displayed on the manage posts view and calendar if enabled.

    Have the ability to separate the “viewable” terms for the manage posts view and the calendar. Showing lots of terms on the calendar isn’t the best choice for the manage posts view — things can get really squished on that screen.

    This should be doable with a little extra code. Have you looked at the filters that are registered?

    I haven’t looked at the filters, but I just realized that the Screen Options takes care of the manage posts view issue. Just uncheck what you don’t want to see…easy.

    Yep, simple fix. Note, however, that Screen Options only apply for the current user. You’ll want to put together a code snippet to hide for everyone at once.
