[Plugin: Email Users] $ dollar sign in post body mistaken for PHP var?

When you have a $ dollar sign in the post body and you send out a notification e-mail, such as prices: $2.50 etc. The e-mail shows .50. I assume this is because the plugin sees the $2 as a php variable when composing the e-mail body.
