    Hello,
    when I deactivate the plugin my .htaccess is emptied. Everything I added is deleted. How can this be?

    @jidwictut9 Do you mean .htaccess file in the root? If so, I couldn’t reproduce the issue. WP-Optimize only removes the rules added by it such as browser caching, gzip compression, etc It does that based on comments such as # BEGIN WP-Optimize Gzip compression. If you happen to add your rules between the #BEGIN and #END comments, then this can happen

    Hello,
    I have now tested it again (see pictures). In my htaccess almost everything is deleted as soon as I deactivate the plugin and the permalinks also no longer work (only after resaving) .

    Because the part of wordpress #Beginn ……#End is also deleted!!!!!
    My htaccess had 523 lines before. After deactivation only 125!!!!!


    I have redirects, custom cache rules etc in my htaccess. Also Wordfence and Shortpixel added something……all gone!!!

    My rules are before or after the wordpress block #Beginn…..#End
