Hi there, we just updated our website (plugins, themes). Immediately after update, I noticed that our site was loading slower than usual. As part of our update protocol, we use wpboom.com to snapshot our site visually to see what may have changed. When I clicked on a link from wpboom to load the url in question (our “World Coins” product category), I noticed it seemed to be loading really slowly. Then I got an error message which said:
“www.goldenruleenterprises.org says ‘Anti-spam by cleantalk plugin error: timeout Please, contact Cleantalk tech support https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/cleantalk-spam-protect.'”Once I saw this error message, I remembered that (just a moment previously) I had noted on other urls that the site was loading way slower than normal.)
Yes, Cleantalk antispam was one of the updates I did today. So does this mean that the Cleantalk update is what is slowing down our site?
FYI, after this happened, I was unable to recreate the event. Our category and shop pages are still loading pretty slowly but the error message has not popped up again.
