I’m using eshop for my website and the theme I’m using is Simple Catch by Catch Themes and using Authorize.net as a gateway.

Testing with a live account as the test account went well. When I placed an order, the inventory count did not update. In addition, after making a purchase and authorize.net has confirmed payment went through, order still stays in “Pending” status for nearly 24 hrs. How long does it stay in pending for?

    Greatly appreciate your help.

the reason the stock didn’t update is because the order remained as pending.

You should have received an email from eShop for the transaction, can you post the subject and first few lines of that email please.

Elfin, that’s the thing…I didn’t get an email from eShop. I did get an email from Authorize.net…but even so, shouldn’t the inventory get updated once the purchaser places the item in his shopping cart and finalize the purchase?

then for whatever reason authorize.net is not connecting to your site, so your orders will always remain in pending – it is when they connect to the site that the stock is updated.
Try testing in twenty eleven theme with all other plugins disabled.

    Hi,

I never got the same issue resolved. My client just couldn’t handle me shutting the site down again during their busy season – so he decided to just deal with checking each order on authorize.net – until we can work on it in January or February.

I’m just sharing this because the original thread got marked as resolved when it is still in process, and I want to keep updated on this topic.

    Best wishes,
    Jennifer
