[Plugin: Event Organiser] add controls to event list

Nope, the event list is just intended to be a plain static list. That said, with custom code it would be possible.

A more ‘out of the box’ solution, would be the event agenda. This allows events to be grouped by date or by month, and allows the user to navigate through them.

Thanks Stephen, I will try the agenda to see if I can get that working.

A couple of questions though:

1. Is there a shortcode for the agenda widget so I can use it in a page (I am using [eo events] for the list, but can’t see anything in the documentation for the agenda)

2. Can I display agenda by week, as well as day & month.

I’m afraid it’s a ‘no’ to both. However I shall be adding the [eo_agenda] shortcode in 1.6 (not sure why I haven’t done so before).

I’ll also see about getting a ‘week mode’ into the agenda too.

In the meantime, can I hard code the agenda into a page template?

I meant to say – if this is just for one page you could, in the mean-time, add widgetised area to the page template, and add the agenda widget to that. See Codex: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/register_sidebar.

(You should follow the ‘default’ usage rather than the example).
