[Plugin: Events Made Easy] Swapping plugin versions removes events

I decided to try upgrading from Events Manager Extended 3.3.4 to see if it would resolve an issue, but it didn’t. Unfortunately, my client prefers the old version because of the date pickers (it had dropdowns for month and year which is much better because she makes many entries a year in advance – now she has to click ‘next’ a dozen or so times). When I tried to reactivate the Events Manager Extended, all the events disappear, but they’re not deleted because they’re still there for Events Made Easy.

Can you tell me how to either switch to the old style date picker or preferably reactivate the old version without losing the events?
