[Plugin: Events Manager] undefined function in upgraded version 5

  • Hi I’m getting the following error on my page:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function dbem_get_events_list() in /home/content/b/o/t/bottleshop/html/wp-content/themes/bottleshop/functions.php on line 40

    I’m a casual Wp User at best, and definitely not a coder by any stretch. I know we jumped from ver. 2 to ver. 5, which is clearly not recommended, but I was having trouble installing the in-between versions.

  • yup, on that error, it tells you the file and line number that’s causing the issue.

    you’ll see some custom code to do with EM. You need to remove that because it’s using legacy functions that don’t exist anymore.

    You need to work your way up though (i.e. install latest v3, then v4, then v5). You’ll run into problems otherwise, as EM has completely changed from v2 – v5, the changes were incremental.
