[Plugin: Events Manager] Custom search for zip code require zip code

you can add the search by zipcode by modifying template file at templates/events-search.php and for making zipcode required templates/forms/event/location.php

For making the zip code required, I added the “$required” tag to the end of the search field but the user can still publish an event without a zip code.

you can still do this by modifying classes/em-location.php and adding ,"location_postcode" => __('Postal code', 'dbem') at around line 106 however this not update proof.

Has there been any updates to this? I too am looking for a way to search by zip code and landing page will be sorted base on zip code range. Preferably, I would like this in a widget form.
