  • You can try to deactivate other plugins one by one and change to default theme (temporarily) because it could be a plugin conflict. Also it can help if you could post error logs

what’s showing up on the event page? do you see the search form etc or is it blank?

    The page is blank, Marcus.

Agelonwl, thank you for your suggestions. I did try deactivating the plugins when I read in the troubleshooting guide that some were incompatible. No success.

I didn’t try switching themes, though. And I’m sorry, but I’m a non-techie do-it-yourselfer and have no clue what posting an error log means.

Didn’t have time to wait for a solution; so today I opted for a form hosting service. I created new registration (and other) forms and set up all the links. Not the comprehensive solution I’d hoped for, but now folks can register for classes.

I’m still interested if there’s a solution. I considered Espresso, but there are unresolved issues with GoDaddy, and I don’t want to change hosts right now.

you need to try switching themes too, because often the theme is the culprit.

if you don’t want to switch, you can usually tell by previewing the theme and navitaging to the events page in preview mode (you can preview before selecting a theme)

Marcus, I’ll give that a try. Thank you.

    I’m having the same issue:

I’m using BuddyPress. I’m using the default theme. I tried “previewing” another BP-compatible theme, but the “Events” page is still blank. It just has the page title and that’s it.

I’ve been trying to make this work for WEEKS, but it doesn’t seem to want to work for me.

I’ve added events. I’ve added locations. Everything appears to be fine. If I add a widget to the side with the mini calendar, the date of the event is highlighted and clickable. But when I click on the date, I come to another blank page. This time it says “Events Oct XX”.

When I was trying to get this to work, I disabled and uninstalled this plug-in and installed another one: Events Manager Extended. this one also did not work. Then I disabled and uninstalled that one and installed another one (Jet Event System for Buddypress). This ALSO did not work. I deactivated that plug-in and then uninstalled.

After that, I went back to reinstall the Events Manager Plug-in. To my surprise, when I re-installed the plug-in, all of my previous events and locations were STILL THERE. I think there might be a problem there. Obviously, there was something that got screwed up when I first installed the plug-in and it seems like when I deactivate and uninstall the plug-in, it’s not deleting the files. Is there a way to permanently delete the files from the plug-in. I would like to do that and then re-install to see if that solves the problem.

If you need any more information, I can write another ten paragraphs. …. I’ve been pulling my hair out over this for the last two weeks. I’m a non-technical volunteer for my condo board and people keep asking me why the events page is not set up yet. I’m trying, but NOTHING seems to work (not even other plug-ins anymore).

If there’s any kind soul out there: PLEASE HELP.

    Thanks,
    Todd

we don’t delete any tables ect. when you delete the plugin since many ppl do this and expect the opposite.

If you want to delete the plugin info, delete the tables prefixed wp_em_… and the values prefixed dbem_… in the wp_options table.

mind you, if other plugins etc. aren’t working, it probably isn’t an EM issue.

keep in mind, the less you write, the less i have to read ??

I had this problem for a couple hours myself, it turns out that the WordPress SEO by Yoast was conflicting with the permalinks.
