[Plugin: Events Manager] featured image not displayed

    I’m quite new to WP but I installed a new fresh version of WP to use the plugin.
    I can add events (great plugin!) but the featured image is not displayed.
    Any suggestion?
    I simply choose the image using the appropriate button and before publishing the event I can see uploaded. But then I don’t see it in the published event.
    I’m sure I choose a small image and of few kbytes.
    I can also add images in the body of the event and everthing works ok.. but I don’t want that.
