• Great plugin. Many thanks.

Is there an ability to add location from the front end ?

It appears (for me, at least for now) that the drop down list in the [event-form] cannot be disabled by checking “No” to “Use dropdown for locations?” in Settings–>General Options ? The drop-down still appears despite “No” being checked ??

I probably am missing something. Is ther a solution to this ?

the shortcode doesn’t have this at the moment for guests

you can do this if logged in and if the capabilities in the Events > Settings are correct

also, if you check the Allow anonymous event submissions? the location form will show up (as a guest).

Settings > Anonymous Event Submission > Allow anonymous event submissions?

First. Many thanks for prompt reply.

and Yes can confirm if settings as above and logged out front-end location setting is enabled. Thanks.

Now (just to complicate your day) is there any way for the admin of a site in multisite to do the same (ie front-end location setting). As it appears when I log back in the drop down reappears ????

It is this that I’m really interested in. A multisite facility where the sub blog owners need to access the back-end is as limited as humanly possible.

If not possible. so be it. It’s Outstandingly powerful plugin in any event.

atm i don’t think so (using the shortcodes, i believe BP does allow this)

we will be improving the submission forms at some point soon so that should be possible then.

No problem. Not urgent for me. Can wait.

It appears to me that (now i’m not a coder, so kinda winging it) by moving a bit of code from events-manager/templates/forms/event-editor-guest.php to events-manager/templates/forms/event-editor.php this functionality can be incorporated.

But to make it all smooth & seamless is another thing. Best to wait, i think. Thanks.

yes, in theory it should work ??

if you can wait, i’d advise it. not far off from tackling that.
