Ok, I am stumped. I cannot seem to get rid of comments appearing on some of my Event Pages. I have chosen Comments=No in EM, Settings, Pages, Event Pages, yet comments still show on ‘some’ of my Event Pages. I reenabled comments in EM, Settings, Pages, Event Pages, to see if comments are checked on the event, but hidden, but when I go to the Event Page, Comments are NOT enabled. What am I missing?? Thanks so much!

  • If you have events with comments previously enabled, try visiting your events admin, select all and bulk edit, disable comments.

Hi – In your email you said go to General Tab, General Options and uncheck comments. There is no comments setting there. I do see a comments radio button in Settings Tab, Pages, Event Pages. That is unchecked. I have unchecked comments in all Event pages. (I have even tried enabling comments in Settings and then checking/saving, then unchecking/saving comments in each individual event. Nada. I still have comment box showing on random events with nothing I can seem to do to get rid of it. Any more ideas?

actually, i think he meant Settings > Pages > Event Pages

the ultimate place that’s decided if comments show or not is the edit event page. Disabling comments in EM settings won’t stop events previously allowing comments (it’s a wp thing), if you disable that and comments still show, make sure:

    1) you don’t have a caching problem
    2) another plugin or more likely your theme isn’t doing this.
