[Plugin: Events Manager] "My Events" Page crashing in a BuddyPress Child Theme

We are trying to use Event Manager in a Multisite Environment and within a BuddyPress install. When we activate the default BP theme, things work fine. Sadly, though, when we switch to our (minimally) customized theme, the My Events page crashes. We get an “HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.” in out browser. So, to troubleshoot, we began deleting files from out theme folder one by one. Eventually, the theme folder was 100% empty (reverting to default theme anyway) and the plugin was still crashing exactly the same. Grr….

Any ideas?
