Every time I try to add an event, it is refused with the following message:
Your event details are incorrect and cannot be published, please correct these errors first:
Dates must have correct formatting. Please use the date picker provided.

I have tried to “Reset” the plugin. To no avail.
I have uninstalled and re-installed. Still to no avail.

This is so terribly frustrating. I have read the WordPress date formatting conventions, the jQuery formatting conventions, the PHP date formatting conventions ( as applicable to each Date/Format field )… nothing I do helps. All I want is to be able to add an event, and then format the Sidebar Upcoming Events list to use normal “Weeday, Month No., Year” output… and it’s so terribly, horribly hard.

Can somebody, anybody please help me with these settings?

  • i am having the same problem. i reverted back to the twenty eleven theme and event manager is the only plugin installed. I still cant get datepicker to work and I cant get it to accept any dates I enter by manually. I am using the latest wp version 3.4.1 Any suggestions?

The date format it accepts on a site that is using Finnish WP 3.4.1 is the Finnish (and common European) standard: 15.07.2012 for today and so forth. Rrocket, did you try that format? Ximbalo, does datepicker work for you?

Are you guys adding events using a page created with the [event_form] shortcode or through the WP-Admin screen (from admin bar)?

Hi, thank you for your reply. I have been trying to add an event using the EM New Event admin screen. Also I had reset the plugin to all defaults. So the date format in the admin / format options is set to the default that it comes with. Yet, still… it always fails with this same error. It is pretty frustrating… since installing ( and purchasing Pro ) I have not been able to add a single event.

if you already purchased pro version then you can use pro support forums instead.

Yes, I have moved my posts to the Pro Support page, thank you.

I just installed it and got the same problem. Any resolution to this?
