• In relation to my previous question:

I created an event (a yoga class) that occurs weekly, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, for one hour per day, with an end date of recurrence for one year from now. Seemed to work out okay. However, I deleted it in an effort to try to solve my previously described question, and since then when I create recurring events, only one of the days in the repeating week show up in the calendar (ie: if I create an event on Tuesday and Thursday, only Tuesday shows up), though as far as I can see I’m setting it up the same way. I’ll keep testing, but if you have any suggestions, I’d be happy to hear them. Recurring events is a necessity, as my client wishes to allow reservations in regularly occurring yoga classes.

    Thanks,

    H.

Okay, further to this, I may have figured it out.

I was trying to create events that happen every week on, for example, Wednesday and Friday as “weekly events”, which was resulting in only Wednesday showing up in the subsequent calendar. Based on an example at https://help.wpeventsplanner.com/customer/portal/articles/383920, I change it to a “daily event”. This populated the calendar correctly (using ‘Preview Calendar’ in the Recurrence Helper, but after the date fields were retrieved and the event was saved, the events were showing up incorrectly in the actual public calendar. The first week was correct, but the second week showed both Wednesday and Friday listed in the box for Monday as well as in the boxes for Wednesday and Friday, and each subsequent week showed two more of these in the Monday box. After four weeks, the Monday box contained six unwanted entries, and it continued to accumulate in this manner until the final event.

Experimenting, I discovered that I could solve this problem by changing the Event Status from “Active” to “Ongoing (BETA)”, after which the public calendar displayed as desired.

    Further testing continues…
