[Plugin: EWWW Image Optimizer] this is driving me bananas

    hi Shane,

    thanks for the plugin.

    I just wish I could get it to install =(

    I’ve enabled SSH in my bluehost, accessed it through my terminal, and this is what I get:

    tar xvzf optipng-0.7.1.tar.gz && cd optipng-0.7.1
tar (child): optipng-0.7.1.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
[email protected] [~]# tar xvzf optipng-0.7.1.tar.gz && cd optipng-0.7.1

    !@!#$@$@#@ driving me insane, I haven’t been able to figure it out

    that means you need to actually download the file to the directory where you are running those commands, typically using wget. Or… if you don’t know how to use wget, you can download the optipng source package to your desktop, and then upload it via ftp to your home folder on bluehost.
